After the joy of sleeping in a real bed for a few hours, I got up, packed down my drum kit and drove to Brixton to play at the Windmill. We were playing with a band called Manatees from Cumbria (not Scotland, they just talk funny) and a band called Bossk, but Bossk didn't make it (they broke down somewhere) and both our sets were plagued by technical difficulties. There's because the sound limiter kept cutting the power mid-song, and our's because we kept forgetting how to play our songs, mid-song. Despite the gig's obvious shortcomings there were moments of hilarity and joy and someone even bought a CD off us. Mike from Drowned in Sound puts it much better.
